Olasonic Nano-D1 DAC WOW

I've only been using this DAC for 12 hours and it sounds amazing for the price I paid. $350 or so, maybe a little more, but no more than $10. I have 2 other DACs, I won't name them because that's just my personal opinion. I hooked it up to a Yamaha AS-701 with an Onkyo 730 CD player and a pair of Klipsch RS 81 speakers and this setup sounds really good, not quite an audio file but very close. This setup sounded good before I added this DAC, but now it has more clarity, a deeper soundstage, and a slightly louder sound. I like all kinds of music as long as it sounds good, whether it's rock, country, blues, jazz or classical. I don't know durability, time will tell. I don't think anyone would go wrong with this DAC. It features a headphone volume control that also drives a pair of powered speakers. You need to adjust the volume control on the DAC even if it is connected to a device like your amp and then adjust the volume on your amp, I just adjust the DAC. Volume to the middle and my amp seems to be at the same level as without the DAC. The other DACs I have also sound good at $299 each. but there have been many reviews about it. I give this DAC 5 stars because it quickly started sounding really good and how easy it is to use. If you have an audio file system I don't think this DAC will improve your sound much, if at all. I have a better system than this and wouldn't put an external DAC on it unless it's an audio file. I don't think that will happen as I love the sound for what it is and just am not willing to pay the price for not having the best sound that this system can offer.
