Review on Bosch 84505M Reversible Carbide Tipped by Mike Newbill

Has been used on exotic woods as well as native grain and cross grain woods - works as expected. I adjusted the table depth to about 1/32 inch less than the full cut, which gives a nice fit with no room for error. A full cut leaves the V-grooves a bit loose. I think that's an advantage of the bit design. gives me more options/flexibility to customize. The V-groove is 3/16" so you lose about that much width per joint (depending on whether a full cut is used or not). PS: Diagram reversed - the larger diameter cutter is on the shaft.
