This is my favorite mascara. I've worn regular (non-waterproof) mascara from The Falsies a few times - and it works just as well - but for the last two years I've mostly worn this brand of waterproof mascara. A friend found it for me after my beloved husband passed away suddenly in April 2017. I've walked through wakes and funerals like a robot; then my sister gave waterproof mascara but at night i found it almost impossible to remove it. And it made my already tired, bloodshot, watery eyes even redder and swollen. A month later we held a memorial service for my lover in my home church in my home state and it was there my girlfriend introduced me to this piece which I have worn ever since. As a widow, you never know what might make you angry — a photo, a mention of your name, a specific date on the calendar, someone speaking too sweetly (or rather, too insensitively) about their death. each of the many memories you shared, etc., etc. But life still goes on. He must. And I had to "show up" at the end without looking like I'd given up. So, yes, this is a great life throwback to a small tube of Maybelline Mascara. Difference in this widow's life: You made me feel, at least when I looked in the mirror, that there was still a part of me left. and if I hadn't lost myself entirely, I could still go back to who I used to be and still live a 'happy' life. again. My husband always told me that I have beautiful eyes. I remember he said that when I applied your product💜Thank you.
