My husband works with a large screen every day and due to his vision problems it is very bad for his eyes. He put this on his home monitor yesterday as he still occasionally works from home. He always has to use eye drops or sticky eye gel or hot pads, whatever you can think of to ease the eye pain at the end of the day. He is almost blind in his right eye, so he has problems with his eyes. He has a blue light filter on his glasses, but that's not enough. So he reluctantly agreed to try it when I told him we could return it if that didn't work. But he says that yesterday after using it on his home screen for just 8 hours, he noticed that his eye strain/discomfort in terms of eye irritation and eye strain has been reduced by about 80%. He has less muscle tension/headaches in his forehead. However, he cannot confirm the glare resistance because he has no light behind him when working, his lamp is behind the monitor to the right and our windows are to the left of his computer. It seems to stay in place and goes on easily, just gliding across the screen. So we ordered a second for his large monitor at work and one for our personal desktop computer. If you're on the fence, give it a try, you can always return it! Cheaper than other visits or a new pair of glasses! Update: Now that I have one of these lids on our other desktop, I have glare from the two windows that are behind me. I have to tilt the monitor so it doesn't bother me. Or I can close the curtains. So be aware that there can be significant glare depending on your windows. So far my husband still loves it (he has no windows behind him reflecting his monitor) and he says his eye discomfort has been greatly reduced.
