Decent quality gauges, hose and pump. I have run this set with mini splits about 10 times in the last 3 months and the problem is with the vacuum pump. I have a digital micrometer and have rarely seen it go below 1200 microns. The only time I was able to get it down to 750 was vacuuming a small disposal tank. Today I vacuumed a device with a short 15ft/5m tube and it didn't go below 2100 so this vacuum pump is useless. For reference, you should vacuum to at least 500 microns, and some manuals say 350 microns. UPDATE: I took a close look at the vacuum pump to see if I can figure out what's wrong with it. Attach the pressure gauge directly to the pump. It didn't go below 2000. I retightened the case screws, removed some oil and experimented with the oil screw/check. I'm not sure what was changed to make this work better. Maybe he was too old, although he wasn't over the maximum fill line. This is how the vacuum pump works when it wants to. Be sure to use a digital micrometer to ensure your pump is actually working. Note. I own and use this product which I bought with my own money. My rating is my own experience.
