Of all the things I bought for her karate degree my 7 year old niece liked this one the most as did the adults too home. Be careful not to step on the balls as they roll on the ground. They have a thin spherical Velcro strip around the ball that holds it to the board so if you get even a small dent it will just bounce off the target. Overall I think this is a great purchase and can easily be thrown into a hotel or travel bag to keep them occupied. I tried to learn a little from her by letting her add up the numbers as she counted her hits. She's only 7 years old so it was a bit much just because the numbers start at 200. It would be great if they had smaller numbers so this could be a learning tool for young kids.
