This mount is poorly designed. Check with the manufacturer before purchasing. I got a supposedly modernized model. A ball with multiple bushings for different diameters, unlike the photos which show multiple balls with different shank diameters. The problem is that just one long thin bolt stretches the stem, so the fit has to be near perfect before the bolt is tightened. It would be better to do something like old-fashioned bicycle handlebar goosenecks, where a screw pulls a wedge into the stem when tightened. This offers much better tightening capabilities so the fit doesn't have to be as precise. I've had several Techmount products and they've all been excellent, so I think this is an anomaly.
