Review on 🩺 Discover Your Internal Age: iHeart Health Monitor & Fitness Tracker with iOS and Android App by Chris Harrington

Very noisy data, too much to be of medical value, but fun and easy to use motivational device

This device is very easy to use and set up. Like most apps, they're easy to use, although limited in terms of what data you can fetch/view/export. function) in Excel. The pulse wave velocity is very noisy and so is the calculated "internal" age. The age-specific COV (coefficient of variation, that is the standard deviation/mean) is 1/4. No, the data is not quite normally distributed, i.e. not quite correct, but the scatter is very large. I don't see a trend over time, but I see a lot of noise. Then why do you rate this device so highly? It's one of those little educational tools that helps you focus on health. Pulse Wave Velocity is a very real medical diagnosis (when properly measured). There are many peer-reviewed studies demonstrating its value in predicting heart attacks. Several studies show that it is more important than measuring blood pressure. The downside is that this device is unlikely to actually predict pulse wave velocity and their website just says that they have a correlation between what they measure and pulse wave velocity. I wouldn't buy this device if you seriously need to know pulse wave velocity, but I bought it for educational and motivational purposes and will do it again. As its developers say, this medical device is not FDA approved for your heart. don't expect it
