So I'm a semi-professional audio engineer, I can make an awful sound good enough to use. After reading the reviews and seeing some reviews on YouTube I knew they would work great! ONLY when used correctly! They might not sound good plugged directly into your camera if your camera has horrible preamps (these are the circuits that power your mic and keep it clean) so I used my h4n zoom, the preamps amplified and boom! the sound was fantastic! Second, it's a mono mic, which is great for my application because I'm recording a group of people and want to separate the audio in post. Or I could just convert my H4N to stereo. So if you're interested in learning a little more about audio technology and how to use it properly, you'll soon find that this is a great buy! You could spend hundreds on it and get the same results!
