Hot Tools Taifun Ionic Professional Hair Dryer looks and is modern and sleek a great hair dryer. . Includes concentrator, diffuser and storage bag. This is an 1875 watt hair dryer (typical of a good hair dryer) but it seems to be even more powerful as it dries my fine hair very quickly. Although suitable for all hair types, it seems like a good choice for those with thick hair that usually takes a long time to dry. The noise level seems average to me. This dryer feels comfortable and convenient, and the controls are easily accessible and easy to use. It has the usual high/low temperature and speed settings with a cool down button. Regular CS Hot Tools states that the total weight of the dryer when packed with accessories is 3.9 pounds, but the dryer itself weighs about 3 pounds. It feels a little heavier than my moose, but doesn't feel too heavy or bulky. With a 9ft power cord, it is easy to maneuver. My hair is fine, dry, straight, but curly and unruly. I need to blow dry to detangle my curls and give shape and style to my hair and I get great results using Taifun with a concentrator. I can lock in shape and style, even on low heat for damaged areas and high heat for volume and healthier hair. I also use heat protectant and good products and my fine hair dries out, doesn't frizz, doesn't feel electric and looks shiny. The Taifun looks stylish, but the construction feels very solid. I've had no problems and all of my hot tools work with no problems. My stylist doesn't have a typhoon, but she is a professional hot tool user and said her tools are very durable and have only seen them fail because other stylists have wrapped the cords tightly (emphasizing the connection). I would definitely recommend Taifun, but please check the prices as it's only $120 on the Hot Tools website and is now $249 here. Love it. 5 Stars.
