2nd change: Got a replacement and it works great. It took them some time, but eventually they came. My unit was out of warranty (30 days?) when it stopped working, but they ended up sending me a new one anyway. The device itself does its job and keeps our home from smelling musty. and mold. Contrary to what you hear, you can leave the ozone on all the time. Small amounts do no harm. If you don't lock yourself in a closet with the machine running at full power, it won't be able to produce enough ozone to harm you. We have been using these machines consistently in our home for over 20 years. Here's how to do it. Turn on the machine and run the ozone on the lowest setting. Leave for a day or two. Gradually increase your ozone levels over the next few days. If you smell the ozone, turn it down a little. There is an ideal place where the air smells like a fresh spring day. You need that. The level may change depending on the weather. Humidity absorbs ozone, but in dry air it leaves a little. So feel free to adjust it as the weather changes. These devices usually last a few years but mine stopped working after 2 months. 1st edit: I emailed them (not easy to find) and they agreed to replace my device. I brought it back around 9/11. I didn't get a response from them so I emailed again. They received the device some time ago but didn't start shipping my replacement device until I spotted them on September 25th. They pretended to forget. NOT impressed with her answer. My house smells now.
