The secret of this product is that it is in the air nozzle. Air and above all heat activate it. In one of my cars I put a panel in the vent under the driver and passenger seat. On my other car I used a clip and attached a plate to the vents under the console (the vents are under the steering wheel and under the glove box). If you love the smell this is a great product and 2 waffles is really enough. For those who complain about the short lifespan: what is the point of an air freshener? I have yet to meet an air freshener that lasts a week and a half. If you like the smell, buy a pack of 100. For less than $20 you can put 2 panels in your vents each week and get at least 50 weeks. There is no other air freshener that can offer you this at this price point.
