Review on πŸ’‘ Enhance Your Cable Organization with DATA COMM Electronics 45-0001-BK 1-Gang Recessed Low Voltage Cable Plate - Black by Joe Fulce

Perfect for what I need.

I bought this 2 gang low voltage outlet to run a lot of wiring for a 7.1 surround sound system. That means it was big enough for 7 speaker wires, a cable TV wire, an HDMI wire, and I also pulled a spare HDMI through in case the first HDMI failed - easier than over configuring my setup after one to look for a replacement. This two-piece socket is the perfect size for any cable where there is no extra space. I love how it sits flat against the wall and the bowl goes back into the wall so it looks organized even with all the wires coming out. I bought two of these - one to mount behind the TV (which could be the single set version as only HDMI connects to the TV - the speaker cables go to the speakers in the ceiling) and the other next to all the components (cable box /set top box). /DVD player). Please note that you need to install an outlet near the TV to connect the power cord. Building codes prohibit running power cords behind a wall. Therefore, this should not be used for power cords. Please note that a mounting bracket is not supplied and must therefore be purchased separately. I strongly recommend you buy this. This makes installing this panel much safer. I had to run a lot of wires through this socket, and with all that pulling, I would certainly loosen the socket if I just screwed it into the drywall. The mounting bracket mounts securely to the wall and provides a solid base for the socket to screw into. I strongly recommend this product.
