Review on Instantly Release Steam Safely With The Silicone Diverter Accessory For Instant Pot And Other Cookers by Jonathan Sanders

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It’s a good idea, but…

It’s a nice little concept. A durable silicone nozzle to deflect damaging steam away from cabinets and faces. However, it doesn’t fit snugly on the pressure release bobbin. This means the first jet of steam shoots the silicone diverter straight off the Instant Pot lid like a rocket. You actually have to hold it in place with your fingers for it to work. At least silicone is heat-resistant, so you won’t burn yourself. But pay attention you don’t turn it the wrong way or loosen your grip, or you absolutely will get burned! Does this sound like too much effort for a simple contraption? Well, it is!So, in summary: good materials, good concept, but bad fit and poor execution. If there’s something out there that costs a little more that fits tightly, buy that one instead!
