I was in dire need of the right winter boots to deal with the changeable weather in the North East. After a long search I came across these beauties. They satisfied my need for something affordable and practical. I ordered gray and they arrived quickly and looked exactly like the picture. The interior is very soft and warm. I wore thick socks because my feet get cold easily, but thinner socks will do. They come down to about mid-calf (I'm 5ft 5in) and don't feel awkward or heavy when walking. I bought a size 10 which seems sooooo big but with a thicker sock it's not a problem. to me. After some wearing I have developed wrinkles which didn't bother me but might bother some. What I should also mention is that they don't have much traction on very icy surfaces. Difficult way. Maybe it's my gait, I'm not sure. I haven't found a good shoe that doesn't fall on my butt when I'm on the ice, so it wasn't a big deal for me. I chose not to wear them in heavier snowfalls for fear of ruining the look. Basically, they worked really well, keeping my feet warm and dry during commutes and back in moderate winter weather.
