tinny echo on ship electronics

I'm not sure if that's what they sound like because I don't have them in the case yet, but they sound tinny and seem to have a little echo. Not what I expected but I will still use them on my kayak as I already have them. I've bought some of the best from Boss Audio for an extra speaker system I'm making for my phone that runs on my Milwaukee Tool M18 batteries. They sound much better, but not marine grade.
