After painting our kitchen I liked the clean look of the walls so I decided to place them to the side of the fridge next to our work table. The knife stands are very heavy and thick so that the knives hang straight and do not stick out. They stay on the front of the fridge with a smooth finish. The sides are textured and the knife bar stays in place until you place knives on it, then it slides down. I put double sided tape on one and now it stays in place. Later this week I'm going to buy some stronger permanent tape to make it more durable. They also look great with my light pine cabinets.
