Perfect size, weight, functionality

I love this backpack for hiking and my friend bought it immediately after walking with me and seeing how functional it is. I've heard reports of the built-in water bladder leaking, but haven't found this to be the case. I think people either didn't screw the hose all the way in or didn't read the instructions to pull it out while drinking and then put it back in to prevent the mouthpiece from leaking. Some reviews also mentioned wishing it was waterproof. I just stowed all my stuff that should be waterproof in a stuff sack in a big zip pocket. Worked great. This package contained my Trekology foldable hiking poles, a few small bags of snacks, water, a light raincoat, a small amount of sunscreen, bug spray, wallet, phone, maps, etc. It was the perfect size, but it wasn't big. I also found the bottom support backpack design to work very well for my 5ft 6in height. Most of the weight was on my hips, which kept my shoulders from hurting. If you have a long torso or are taller you may find this backpack a bit short as the bottom straps can wrap around your waist more than your hips.
