Subtle and surprisingly bright light source. I am very happy that it works now. However, the installation took almost two hours and was incredibly tedious. If you use this as a single continuous two meter strip you will have no problems. You can choose between three installation options for all fasteners: self-adhesive separating strips, adhesive clips or screw clips. Everything is simple and efficient. If you decide to cut the strip in two or more parts, be careful! The connectors are supplied but the instructions do NOT tell you how to use them correctly. The following important details are missing: (1) You MUST ALWAYS open the connector to connect it to the strips. Attempting to insert contacts through the hole at the ends will result in failure and breakage. (2) It is not easy to see the connector open even after doing this several times. At one point I stumbled across this method: Look at the edge of the connector, at the slot where you intuitively want to insert a strip. If you look closely, you can see two nested L-shapes. The outer, larger L is reversed as a mirror image. The long leg of this letter L is formed by the top cover. The short end points to the side where the latch is. Pull the latch away from the connector and the cover will open. See photos.(3) Polarity is important. These are diodes and they only allow current to flow in one direction. Don't lose track of which end of the stripe segments is which, like I did. If you think your connections are good but all segments of the lane still don't light up, you're probably wrong. The first unlit segment after the segment directly connected to power is where you can start flipping from start to finish. Good luck and enjoy your new lights.
