Attaching the cup holder to the air vent was a little more difficult than I expected. Mounting clips come in three sizes. You choose the clip that fits your vehicle's air vents. I bought 2 cup holders and use them on the outside vents. One is holding a small trash can and the other is holding the driver's coffee cup or soda. As long as they are strong enough to hold these items.
