Review on Cuisinart BFP 650GM Velocity Blender Processor by Adam Walsh

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Kinda skips over chunks of tough veggies without tearing them

This replaces a very similar piece of culinary art that I've loved and have owned for years, but with a little more power. But somehow this model skips large chunks of tough veggies like cabbage or carrots into the bowl when I use the shredder, no matter how I serve or the speed. My old one had 4 speeds and a pulse. It has 2 speeds and pulse which I use all the time. It also has an icebreaker setting that stops, moves, changes speed, and stops automatically. And makes more out of a snow cone than crushed ice. The smoothie settings are also automatic. I prefer to chew fruits and veggies separately, so I can't tell if this is a miracle or just stupidity. It comes with a large blender jar suitable for gazpacho, sauce and pina colada. Maybe a smoothie cycle would work for this. I guess I should have gone a little more expensive and gotten a Cuisinart with more blades, but I'll leave that and explore its features. and maybe try a snow cone too. . or maybe sell it at a flea market as I've kept it too long to return.
