One of the best things about them is that they're blank on top. You can easily write with a marker and get in the way of printing other discs. All of our copies have been excellent with no issues. I agree the lack of a spindle can be an issue, but it's easy to fix if you have an extra spindle and cut the package from the bottom. You can then simply insert the spindle into the package. I label the package halfway through so I can load 50pcs onto the extra spindle fairly easily.
