Review on ESUN Filament Printer: Exact Diameter for Optimal Performance by Chad Mills

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My favorite filament type (above ABS, HIP or PLA)

I printed about 40 spools of eSUN PETG in different colors and am quite happy with the product. The dimensional stability of the yarn is very good. Many of my pieces are quite large (10"X10") so the non-deformation aspects of PETG are critical. ABS and HIPS were not acceptable. The parts are pretty solid. But PETG is not perfect. He is very stretchy. I use TAZ 5 (0.5) and TAZ mini. The settings that work for me are the same as for ABS, except: - head temp = 250 - bed temp = 90 with blue masking tape (for large prints, otherwise it might be removed by a bear) - reduce the bottom layer height to 0.25 - filament diameter = 3.1 (overextrusion) - number of skirt lines 4 (or more) to allow it to settle - print multiple objects at once, otherwise threading becomes unbearable
