Review on Inateck External Reader Applicable SA03001 by Jason Wright

I bought it to migrate data from old IDE drives. It seems to work fine with SATA, but not with IDE. Awkward power supply from device to IDE but ended up connected and stayed connected. There is no indication of how the contact settings should be. On Maxtor I tried Master, Slave, Cable Select but while the HDD was spinning up there was nothing on the monitor. I haven't tried laptop hard drives, so I can't comment on that. As for political tirades, I wonder what else Inatek has loaded onto my computer. I suggest dropping this product, even for SATA, due to questionable and unwanted downloads.
