Stable, not super big. Holds 6-8 markers in each compartment.

This is a fairly thick and durable plastic. They arrive covered in clear plastic I think for protection. I thought it was a bit bigger than it was (see picture on the 20oz bottle for size comparison). You can comfortably fit 6 markers, but you can pack eight with a very tight fit. The bottom compartment isn't as deep as the others, so the marks on the bottom stick out a lot more (see attached image). I'm still happy with them and will be buying more as they don't hold all the markers we own.
