I bought this router because it caught my attention with the parental controls that I set on a schedule to keep my kids off the internet late at night. After you set up a schedule and associate your devices with the schedule, devices are no longer associated with my schedule every time their devices are assigned a new IP address. My son also complained that he couldn't go online during the allowed hours. After all, the parental control feature is lousy. I hope D-Link will update its software to resolve this issue in the near future. My current firmware version is 1.02. It's the latest version now and I can't update to a newer version. A NOTICE. I used Windows 10 Desktop to set up parental controls. I will use my smartphone to set up the parental controls to see the best result. I will update again. PARENTAL CONTROL UPDATE: The router cannot save Apple devices (Iphone X) to my schedule. However, my Windows device (Surface Pro) was saved and scheduled. I'm trying to set up parental controls on my desktop and iPhone and they both fail. For a stable online connection, I consider this router (AC3000/DIR-3040) to be reliable. I have no disconnections. I had to send back the D-Link router (AC1900) because. My devices around the house lost connection 3-4 times a day. Many Thanks
