I bought size 14 for my 5 year old husky. An old son who usually carries 6/8 boys. My main reason for buying a size 14 was that the vest could be buttoned at the chest and waist. The quality of the vest is surprisingly very good. It didn't have a cheap, flimsy polyester lining like other vests. Front and back made of the same material. The pants also have an adjustable elastic band with buttons inside if you want to slim the waist. Obviously I had to make changes to the vest and pants as my son is still not tall enough to wear a size 14 length. But if you know how to use a sewing machine and needle and thread like I do, that's a problem.
