I received this item recently and though it's still somewhat early for Christmas, I set it up in my living room to check it out. It's now in daily use and is encouraging us to get a jump on our Christmas decorating. The unit projects dancing snowflakes on the wall and ceiling and creates a "Christmassy" atmosphere. My whole family enjoy the holiday ambiance. The unit comes with a base or optional stake and mounting screws and can be placed either indoors or outdoors. Because it has a remote control, you have many options on where to install it. You could place it high or in your yard and don't have to touch the unit to turn it on or off or to control it. The remote allows you to set a timer, or add a flashing function, to which you can control the speed. It has a cute "owl" design and can be placed or mounted inconspicuously. My plan is to mount it on the edge of my roof and create a winter wonderland in my front yard. This is a perfect addition to your internal or external Christmas decorations.
