Just received today and fully charged in the box. The razor itself isn't heavy and smaller than I thought it would be. It is a privilege because it lends itself well to travel. I wasn't expecting much for the low price. I have a fairly coarse beard and have always used a Wahl corded electric shaver to clean my beard. I bought this shaver to use as a trimmer on my face, mustache, around my ears and neck. I have been doing home care for a while due to COVID. However, it came with a guard that was the right length for my beard so I decided to give it a try as the battery operated/cordless/waterproof made it easier to remove and use compared to a large Wahl razor. Val sparkles through the thickest of beards, and given the power of this thing, I'm not surprised. It wasn't that strong, and if you try to run it through your hair like a big, strong razor, it pulls a little. It has two power levels and in the stronger one it cuts very respectfully when you're moving a little slower than with a more powerful tension free razor. I was able to shave my beard just fine, although it took a little longer. However, it didn't last long. Just like my beard when I'm done! Cleaning was very easy thanks to the possibility of using water. The head didn't get dirty or attract hair, and replacing the heads wasn't difficult. With the standard head it was very easy to get rid of the hair on the neck and around the ears. Cut out like a charm. I give the product 4 stars although I would say 4.5 is more accurate. Cleaning is easy, battery life is long, it does what it says on the tin, and the attachments are more than adequate for basic home maintenance. I'm only deducting 0.5 stars because I would have liked a little more power, but for the price I can't really complain.
