Review on πŸ“š Mastering Skeleton Articulated Ulna Radius Insertions: A Step-by-Step Instruction Guide by Bobby Montoya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightweight, highly detailed model with key; ideal for students and teachers + good price

This is a very good quality anatomical model, especially considering the very reasonable price. It is life-size (cast from a real human skeleton) and composed of tiny, tightly coiled springs, allowing it to demonstrate the different types of movements the hand and wrist are capable of. The model is mounted on a lightweight yet sturdy base. The skeletal elements (distal radius, distal ulna + all carpals, metacarpals and phalanges) can be identified and their main features as well as the insertions of the main muscles (origin in red, insertions in blue). This is great for A&P students who need to learn not only the individual bones of the hand and wrist skeleton, but also how they articulate and the range of joint movement and muscle action. A small key is included, but it's only half the size of a piece of paper, so the diagram is small and the terms printed on it are quite small and difficult to read, at least for me. The paper is thick but I will laminate it to hold it better. I would like the key to be printed in a larger format on a full size sheet of paper. The current price of $26.99 is very reasonable for this well-made anatomical model. It is useful for students and detailed enough to be used in the classroom as well.

Pros
  • This natural cast Evotech right hand skeleton model is of high quality and accurate human hand bone details. Great for practitioners and students, incredible as a learning tool. It provides detailed descriptions of the structures of the hand and wrist, including the entire human hand and the lower parts of the ulna and radius.
