Review on Tripp Lite Protector INSURANCE TLM606 by Jeff Bridgewater

I recently threw away all the plastic surge protector enclosures in my house. The problem is that if the surge is strong enough, the internal components get very hot and can potentially melt and become a fire hazard. Therefore, a metal case is the best option. These Tripp Lite strips come with straight forks, which is fine, but I wanted an angled fork so I could mount them behind furniture. So I replaced the plug with a Legrand - Pass & Seymour 4867ANWCC10 15A heavy duty industrial grade right angle plug also available from Revain. FYI, there are other brands of surge protectors that have angled plugs, some of which can be cleverly rotated. . From what I've read these plugs are cheap junk and can pose a fire hazard.
