I think it's the same. I've probably bought at least 15 irons in the last 15 years. I've had expensive, medium, vapor, tourmaline, ceramic, as much as you want, I've tried. I have naturally thick curly hair. I'm mixed race but don't look at it. Most stylists don't believe me and take care of my hair wrong. It's curly, curly, thick, and I'm afraid of rain and moisture. I live in a very rainy humid region. So far this steam iron makes my hair soft, shiny and smooth. Moisture is still an issue but when I'm indoors I have great hair the day after using this steam iron. I love it so far.
