Satisfactory product quality, good price.

The past friend ASUS 1015PN died and he needed a "workhorse" gathering dust on the shelf :) The absolute silence of passive cooling and the touch screen on windows is still very unusual. Light. For iron in the top ten, of course, hard and percent choke in places. I have a WDC-WD5000LPX-75VHAT0 hard drive with a linear speed of about 60 Mb / s, with a fairly even reading pattern in 5 \ 20 ms sectors, a 16 Mb cache, 5400 rpm in SMART there is a statistics of shock sensor activations. But he is definitely a bottleneck in the assembly. Replacing with an SSD, it seems to me, will show the laptop from a pleasant side. The shutdown button on the near right side is a mockery of the "state employee" client. Nothing but sleep, which is the default, is difficult to put there. In tests for stress load, the processor heated up to 75 (extreme 90), memory up to 51. During charging, the case under maximum load warms up to about 39 degrees in places. Although it was assembled as budget-friendly as possible (they even spared the paint on the USB 3 port), but on the whole it looks well-assembled. In the BIOS, as always, jokes from DELL, UEFI and legasy modes of operation do not live together humanly. But the Windows utilities look mostly useful. The display frame is very well made, in order to close the camera you need only a small inconspicuous square of adhesive tape :)) In general, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Pros
  • Passive cooling, adequate price at the moment, light, touch screen, decent sound, licensed windows? :)
Cons
  • "bottleneck" - hard drive, budget plastic, power button, flimsy memory connector, no LED indicators on the case
