I used the case to protect my Garmin 700i while canyoning. I also used an extra padded case to protect the screen. I'm sure this silicone case will protect the Montana 700i except for the touchscreen. I can probably get a screen protector for that. Turning the Montana 700i on and off with the case mounted is a bit more difficult.
