More and more electronic devices are only being charged with USB cables and I was running out of the 110 converters Apple supplied. So I have this model with four regular USB-A plugs and two 110 sockets. The long cord can go around furniture. I use it every day but will need to take it with me when I travel and charge things in hotels. I had a travel charger with a shorter cord but it only had 1 USB and the short code was hard to come by in hotel stores. So this model is an improvement. I haven't fully tested the charging capacity, but I have 4 USB charging sockets, but they are not all used at the same time. And I boot my laptop from port 110.
