Review update: After returning home from my trip, this toiletry bag did not make it back home with us. After receiving it I washed and dried it in hopes the bad smell would go away but it never did.After a few days on our trip the zipper for the big pouch portion broke, making this bag useless to us. So I guess it wasn’t as sturdy as I initially thought it was. So it stayed in Japan, in a trash. It’s very unfortunate that this bag did not work out for us and I changed my star rating from a 2 to a 1.I originally purchased this toiletry bag for my international trip that is within a weeks time. I was excited to receive it knowing this would be my very first toiletry bag and it would have everything so much more easier. The bag is very sturdy and that is the only reason why I gave this review 2 stars.However I have some significant concerns. 1: the bag isn’t as big as I thought it would be. I was planning on putting full size items in here but unfortunately it won’t fit. Travel size items are recommended. 2: the bag has a terrible smell to it. It seems like a mix of poison and cigarette smoke. It is a very overbearing smell. Made me feel so nauseous. I’m not sure if the smell is even safe to be inhaling (yes it’s that intoxicating). I would return. However I truly do need a toiletry bag and cannot afford to take a gamble on shipping, in case it doesn’t come in on time. I just threw it in the wash so we’ll see if that will diffuse the terrible smell.
