Review on Immerse in High-Quality Sound with the Marshall Stanmore II Wireless Bluetooth Speaker – Black by Kiyoshi Sagae ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Product is unreliable, just don't buy it.

Marshall's software is simply monstrous. I got the impression that people who write this software do not use Marshall products from the word "absolutely". Not a friendly UI with invisible buttons, calling some of the functions is not obvious. Marshall's apps rank very low in the app stores. And recently something terrible happened - the column received a firmware ate (the first in two years), which divided by zero all the positive impressions of Marshall sound quality. The fact is that I installed the column high on the shelf and connect it to the PC for a reason. There were no problems until the Marshall software developers added a sleep function to the firmware, apparently to "save" power. The problem is that the speaker does not exit this mode when the PC is turned on, and every time I have to climb to the top, pull the power on toggle switch to revive it. I strongly DO NOT recommend buying if your scenario for using acoustics involves connecting to a PC via RCA or AUX.

Pros
  • - Sound quality; - Appearance; - Quality of assembly and materials (except for seams); - Bluetooth 5.0 and AptX support.
Cons
  • - Low quality software for iOS and Android; - After ating the firmware, the speaker goes into "sleep", this happens after every shutdown of the PC, to wake it up, you need to pull the toggle switch, or change the sound level in the mobile application (it does not always work the first time); - When connected to a PC via Bluetooth, the sound is very noticeably behind the image. This is noticeable when watching videos and in computer games (the sound of the shot lags behind the event by almost half a second).
