I liked the screen, it stopped almost all grease splatters. But then I put it in the dishwasher to clean it and realized it was a big mistake. When I removed the strainer from the dishwasher, my wife and I found that it was bent so badly that it no longer sat properly in the pan and it was therefore obvious that it would no longer prevent splattering on the stovetop. I can honestly say it did a great job of stopping the spattering, but I highly recommend hand washing rather than being dishwasher safe.
