Here's the deal: This stand "bouncy". If you are planning to use this stand to elevate your laptop so the keyboard is at the best height and angle for typing, do not purchase this stand. When you tap on it, the stand bounces slightly with each keystroke, so your eyes are constantly adjusting to focus on the moving screen. A separate keyboard and mouse/trackpad on a desk is fine. It's a good stand, easy to set up and looks good too, but not great if you plan on tapping it.
