Review on MikroTik RB941-2nD RouterBoard hAP Lite: Affordable 2.4GHz Home Access Point by Adam Nowak ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The product is definitely not worth the nerves spent, its better not to take it.

In general, I don’t know what to sin on, it’s possible that he simply cannot work normally with my whistle, while there is no way to check with another. The experience with this device turned out to be negative. I bought it to replace Tp-link after reading a bunch of positive reviews about it. But to get it to work as it should, it did not work out. Out of the box, the speed was terrible. I flashed it to the latest firmware, tortured it for several days, played with different settings, read manuals on the net. The maximum that I managed to squeeze out of Wi-Fi from it is about 30-40mbps (about 4.4 megabytes when downloading torrents), while my previous router gives out about 6-8 megabytes. Moreover, the speed is also gaining very slowly, if the previous router quickly accelerates to 1 megabyte, then immediately 2-3-4 on four or five keeps for a short time and accelerates further. Then this Pts keeps at a speed of up to 1 MB for a long time and then slowly rises to 2-3 and keeps at this level for some time, then it can slowly reach 4 . So I will sell this miracle .

Pros
  • Reputation of the manufacturer, stuffing, good firmware in which you can configure almost everything to the smallest detail
Cons
  • So I could not make it work more or less decently, the Wi-Fi speed is very bad. The power adapter beeps ugly
