Although this product never mentions that it is great for cleaning and lubricating pickup rollers on 3 rail model trains, it does the job perfectly. I had a lot of trouble starting all my engines on the new model railroad. The railroad was shut down for a month while I worked on the sets, and as a result dirt and oxides built up on the rails and motors. The engines stalled, stalled and ran terribly. I tried cleaning the parts with solvent and abrasives but it didn't help. I asked a question in the model railway forum and was made aware of Deoxit brand contact cleaner. I bought both the spray and the product in the Gold Liquid Tube. I applied gold to the motor roller and roller pins and they work great. Smoothly, without jerking, just as it should be. This product is a conductive lubricant that removes oxide and lubricates electrical contacts resulting in improved electrical conductivity and prevention of sparking. I forgot to mention that the motors also gave off terrible sparks which further oxidized the rollers and tracks and made the problem worse. GOLD Liquid prevented this. This product was a great find and I will continue to use it as long as I model for the railroad.
