I ordered 5 toppings with large nuts in the shell. They are much lighter than the powder coated wrought iron I bought at Bird Mart 10 years ago. If you have a larger bird that needs a recovery collar, the 'Nut Cage' will ensure your bird gets food, food fortification and boredom (you can fill it with large logs). Less weight doesn't stress the cage bars (even well-done surgical stainless steel bends over time). One of the cages had several broken welds and the two surrounding rings were completely detached. It was one of two in a box with some other items. The other two were packed with only two airbags. One arrived in an ordinary unlined envelope, nothing else. The welds on these cages will NOT last long under the beak of a parrot or medium-sized cockatoo. Don't even think about it with a small macaw! There are also some rough, sharp edges. Sorry, but I can't specifically recommend them for the safety of your beloved feathered companion.
