Like many other Jeep owners, I was shocked that my door hinges were gradually starting to corrode. In less than 4 years! Buy new (or aftermarket) hinges: EXPENSIVE (about $600-800 for a 4-door Wrangler -> "Rugged Ridge" hinge pads! - relatively inexpensive (less than $200 for 4 doors) - few installation hours - whatever hinges look underneath - give generous grease under the base to prevent further corrosion of the door panel and hinges a couple of black inserts and covers are included from the factory Just a small note, the supplied screws hold up to significantly less torque than Standard as they are all hex and no torx I almost blew one of them off in the process.
