Review on πŸš€ Intel Core i9-9900K Octa-Core Processor | 3.60 GHz | 8 GT/s DMI | 5 GHz Overclocking Speed | 14 nm by Funahashi Riko ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

The processor is under LSS NZXT Kraken x62 (280mm). I had to add two more 140mm fans for blowing out from the other side of the radiator (they were in stock), as a result, 4 x Corsair LL140, native NZXT from dropsy 2 Γ— 140mm, put down on the cold air intake perpendicular to the radiator, which is located on the front wall of the case, the fans on him for blowing. The video card has its own 240mm dropsy with a radiator on the top shelf with blowing fans. Another 140mm fan for blowing out on the back wall. Fractal Design Define R6 TG case. The cooling of the system as a whole is not affected. There is no hot air inside the case under load, not at all. - Motherboard Z390 Aorus Elite. - BIOS firmware F10c - Installed Multicore Enhancement Enable (then turned it off, because this function fries percent *) - CPU Advanced operating mode. - VCore voltage 1.290~1.295V. - Both Load Line Calibration on Turbo. *Voila: all-core boost 4.7 GHz at medium, 5.0 GHz at more severe loads. - In idle, the temperature fluctuates around 35 degrees on all cores at room temperature of 28 degrees. β€” - In games (1440p), the processor feels comfortable, in serious loads it does not exceed 65 Β° C. It is paired with the Aorus RTX 2080 Super Waterforce with closed dropsy. Patriot Viper RGB memory on Hynix 4 x 8GB 3200 CL16 chips, overclocked to 3600 CL18. Rarely is it possible to use the full power of the processor. In games, the overall load rarely reaches 50 percent, but the overall performance in games does not suffer. FPS is more stable and smooth than it was with the 9600k. At the same time, you can leave a bunch of programs in the background and not bathe. If you have a more or less decent motherboard on socket 1151v2 and are thinking about upgrading, you can safely take it. This processor will last for years. There is no point in chasing 1200 or the same brand new Ryzen on the Zen3 architecture, Intel's performance is leveled by overclocking, and they are plus or minus equal. For those who assemble from scratch, it is better to look towards the components of more recent generations, and blue or red ones are up to you to decide.

Pros
  • Review of i9-9900kf (BOX) 1. Performance. 2. Relatively cold for 8 cores and 16 threads at 14nm. 3. Three years Intel warranty for BOX version I wrote a review on the Amazon website, the whole did not fit. I will duplicate and add. I bought this percentage in September 2022. There is no limit to joy. Used i5-9600k (OS 5.0 6c/6t) for almost two years Platform Z390. I wanted to upgrade . In the case of the z370 / z390, upgrading to a new generation with socket 1200 in the realities of autumn 2022 does not make much sense, and it's too expensive. If you change the current bundle of z390 and i5-9600k processors at that time to a new i7-10700k (8c16t) with a more or less sane motherboard on the Z490, then the costs would be about 50-55 thousand . and if, taking into account the sale of my bundle on the bu market, the cost would be about 35 thousand. Therefore, it was easier and more reasonable to upgrade the processor. I sold the old percentage on the market, added it and bought a new i9-9900kf. The upgrade took about 24 thousand (taking into account the price in Amazon at that time). I didn’t consider AMD, since there are many nuances in terms of selecting motherboards and RAM for stable overclocking, and I didn’t want to bother with overclocking itself. On Intel, in this regard, everything is simple, as discussed below.
Cons
  • The price at the time of purchase (end of September 2022) was ~ 35t.
