Residual water in the frame after washing in the dishwasher
This is a pretty decent spatter grate that can be used for frying but has one real downside. The frame and handle are hollow and not sealed. When rinsing in the dishwasher or by hand in the sink, the rinsing water gets into the sieve frame and drips off for a long time after rinsing. When the screen is shaken, the sound of water inside can be heard. I don't want soapy water on food and water and hot oil definitely don't mix. If the sieve is vertical, it will take several hours for the water to drain completely. Otherwise it would be a good screen.
