I have these for four male rats. My other hammocks are fleece. This is the material of the windbreaker when it is patterned and faux fur when it is solid color. I wasn't sure if the rats would like it, but they did. The design is really unique - instead of two square pieces of fabric that are only sewn together at the edges, it's actually three layers. I don't think the pictures show it very well, but the guys really liked this new design. When the guys are playing well they can all lie down together, but when they feel they need to be alone they spread out. The clips to hold this are just cheap metal clips, I found them difficult to work with and have replaced them. for plastic clips. Otherwise a very good hammock and I think I will add more in the future!
