Lots of storage space, Velcro fasteners bother me

I bought these in March 2020 when I found my temperature blanket supplies were becoming unmanageable. I have since ditched the comforter and instead use this container to keep all my Caron Simply Soft skeins in one place. I have many other yarns sorted by color in these collapsible cubic storage boxes, but I like this storage bag more than the boxes. I can fit 6 skeins into 3 lining pockets and I have about 7 more on the side my blanket was in during the process. I have a supply of crochet hooks in one of the side pockets, the other is currently empty. I don't think I will use it for travel. The strap isn't very comfortable for extended wear, so it's not a bag I would use to carry around a project during the day either. I find it more comfortable sitting on the floor while working on the couch. One of the great benefits of this setup is that my cat can see less yarn, so she can watch me crochet without getting in trouble because I'm looking for loose yarn. A win-win situation and when she gets too excited she goes to one of her toys instead. The biggest downside for me has to do with the velcro straps near the feeder pads. I always plan on cutting them off as they get caught on my yarn as I work and really mess up my Caron Simply Soft yarn. Maybe it's not so bad with other brands. I haven't come up with a solution to replace them, keep ends in place, or separate strands when working with multiple colors at once. However,

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
