No Presets + Bad Scan + Timer Joke = Return Item.

I was not satisfied with the quality of this product. The "cons" include: The unit was so light that it didn't stay in place when I tried to slide the iPod dock compartment back in. You need to grab the top and hold it while inserting the tray. or he'll just slide backwards on the surface he's sitting on. There are no presets for radio stations that I knew when I bought it, but the problem is that the "scan" function doesn't work very well either, so you have to stand and "up" or "down" press " repeatedly to change the channel (it increases in 0.1 increments, so it takes 10 clicks to go from 93.5 to 94.5, for example.) The buttons require firm pressure too, so all that clicking quickly became tiring and annoying. It's not intuitive or easy. In fact, I can't imagine ever using it. It's less fun to set up than a 1970's microwave. It has +1 and +5 buttons, so set the timer for 30 minutes You have to press the +5 button 6 times Or you can hold it down and wait up to 30 minutes for it to be scanned There are also a separate button to add seconds. There is no start button so the timer only starts after a few seconds nd after you stop pressing the keys. No, the process to set the timer to 90 seconds is as follows: press the +1 minute button to add one minute to the timer; Press the +1 second button 30 times to add 30 extra seconds; Wait about 3 seconds and it will decide you're done adding the time and start counting down - it's basically useless as a timer. And the remote control? It's cool that it has a magnet so it sticks to the front of your fridge, but it takes more than just "line of sight" to work. It requires an almost exact 90 degree angle from the front of the device to work. Even about 15 degrees to the side and it won't register your clicks. If I need to go to a point in space that exactly matches the face of this device, I could just walk right up to it and press the buttons. The "pros" include: a magnetic remote control and decent sound quality. This item works with my iPhone 4 with the Apple bumper attached, but only if you're not using the small insert provided (they include tablet inserts for various types of phones and iPods, but I don't think those really need them).
