Poor quality and design for this price range

This is a poor product for its price. First of all, I can't put my 13" MacBook on the "Laptop Buddy" without it sticking out over the stylus and coaster. (See photo.) The holders have a plastic ledge that slides slightly over the surface of the tray raises up causing my laptop to sit unevenly and sometimes wobble when I type. The laptop cushion/tray should provide at least a flat surface for a medium sized laptop. Either enlarge the tray to accommodate a pen and cup holder, or remove them altogether. The padding beneath the hard plastic shell consists of a pocket of foam granules that sits within a fleece-like fabric liner. For reasons that escape me, the balaclava can be partially opened to remove the pouch of pellets. It would be great if the liner could be removed could zip completely off the tray for a wash from time to time - like any fabric, it gets dirty over time, but you can use the Li not remove it to wash it. For some reason only the pellet bag can be removed. (Maybe it's because you can remove some of the beads to reduce the padding?) To make matters worse, the fabric is poor quality. After a year of use, it has already torn along the edge of the zipper (see photo). If this product was $10-$15 I would write it off as "hey look, you get what you pay for". But Laptop Buddy costs more than $30. At this price point, poor design and poor quality are unacceptable.
