I used to buy similar gloves from better known companies for about $80. I abuse my gear by riding hard, fast and in all weather conditions. When I bought these gloves to try them out I expected a cheap feel and that I would only get about 1/4 the expected lifespan that I get from better branded gloves. I absolutely LOVE these gloves. The glove raises the wrist slightly, which offers more protection but can be annoying when wearing the watch. The velcro is of good quality and has not lost grip even in rain and/or snow. I soaked these gloves to the skin and although water gets in, they dry out very quickly for leather gloves. Only downside was that in the first few rains the paint actually bled out and got onto the skin. This morning I rode for about an hour in 30 degree weather. My fingers were a bit cold at the finish but I guess that's to be expected from a non-thermal glove. I say they only offer adequate protection for leather gloves, but if you ride in temperatures below 35 degrees you may need a more "wintery" glove. The reinforced knuckles are strong and comfortable and fit my hand perfectly. They have clocked many miles and still look very new. I've definitely gotten my money's worth from them on a number of occasions and will be looking for the same gloves in the future.
